American Abby Beeman (163-PG-2001) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader U.M.F. Grindavik and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 24-year old playmaker had the game-high 27 points adding eight rebounds and eight assists for Grindavik in her team's victory, helping them to edge out Tindastoll (#8, 5-10) 87-84. It allowed Grindavik to jump to the first place in the Icelandic Subway League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Grindavik has a very solid 11-4 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Beeman had a remarkable 81.8% from 2-point range. She turned to be Grindavik's top player in her first season with the team. Marshall University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Beeman is in league's top in points (6th best: 22.6ppg) and averages solid 52.7% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young French guard Amandine Toi (178-G-1998) of Haukar. Toi impressed basketball fans with 33 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course she led Haukar to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Armann (#9, 2-13) 104-73. Haukar's 5th position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 10-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Toi is a newcomer at Haukar and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.1ppg (#9). She also recorded 5.7 assists per game.

The third best performed player last round was Canadian Keishana Washington (170-G-2000, agency: LBM Management) of Keflavik (#6). Washington got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. She went also for seven rebounds and six assists. Despite Washington's great performance the Keflavik lost 77-88 to the higher-ranked Njardvik (#2, 11-4). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Keflavik needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 8 victories and 7 lost games. Washington has a great season in Iceland. After 12 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.3ppg (8th best) and assists with 6.9apg (4th best).
