American Re'Shawna Stone (168-G-2000) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Valur Reykjavik and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3 (Second Stage).
The 25-year old guard had the game-high 42 points adding five rebounds and four assists for Valur in her team's victory, helping them to beat Grindavik (#5, 12-9) 83-75. Valur maintains the 4th position in Icelandic Subway League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Valur will need more victories to improve their 13-8 record. In the team's last game Stone had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range and got eight three-pointers out of 14 attempts. She turned to be Valur's top player in her first season with the team. The University of Buffalo graduate has very impressive stats this year. Stone is in league's top in points (4th best: 23.6ppg) and averages solid 50.3% FGP and 42.7% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Canadian guard Keishana Washington (170-G-2000, agency: LBM Management) of Keflavik. Washington impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 31 points and 16 rebounds. Of course Keflavik cruised to a 77-67 relatively comfortable win over Tindastoll (8-12). The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Washington is a newcomer at Keflavik and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.4ppg (#9). Her other stats are also decent: 7.0rpg and 6.7apg.

The third best performed player last round was American Kylie Kornegay-Lucas (178-G-2001) of Armann/Throttur Reykjavik (#10). Kornegay-Lucas got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. She went also for fifteen rebounds and five assists. Despite Kornegay-Lucas' great performance the Armann lost 83-88 to Stjarnan (#7, 10-11). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. Kornegay-Lucas has a very solid season. In 9 games in Iceland she scored 18.9ppg. She also has 11.6rpg, 3.9apg, 3.4spg and 1.3bpg.
