Ninth-ranked Killester (1-5) made lots of trouble for second ranked Eagles (5-1) in Virginia on Saturday. Eagles managed to secure only three-point victory 57-54. However their fans expected much easier game. Cavan Eagles have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 5-1 record having just one point less than leader St.Paul's. Defending champion Killester keeps the ninth place with five games lost. Cavan Eagles are looking forward to face Glanmire (#7) in Cork in the next round where they are favorite. Killester will play at home against Liffey Celtics and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Killarney. Top-ranked St.Paul's faced 3rd ranked Wildcats. Host St.Paul's (5-0) defeated guests from Waterford (4-2) 79-69. Trinity Meteors - Brunell 87-72:
There was a minor upset in Dublin where one of their biggest challengers Brunell (3-3) was defeated by seventh ranked Meteors (3-3) 87-72 on Saturday. Meteors moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Brunell. Trinity Meteors will meet higher ranked Waterford (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Brunell will play against Portlaoise and hope to secure a win.

Glanmire - Limerick C. 85-81:
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Cork where eighth ranked Glanmire (2-3) defeated 7th ranked Celtics (2-4) 85-81 on Sunday. Glanmire moved-up to seventh place. Newly promoted Limerick C. dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. Glanmire will meet league's second-placed Cavan Eagles in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Limerick C. will play against the league's leader St.Paul's (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
