Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (D1) agreed terms with 23-year old American center Desi-Rae Young (185cm-2002, college: UNLV) for new 2025-26 season. Young played this summer at Kepler in Rwandan D1 league. In 11 games just recently she had very impressive stats: 16.1ppg, 12.2rpg, 2.2apg and 1.9spg. She helped them to make it to the Rwandan League final after they ended regular season as second best team.
Young graduated from University of Nevada - Las Vegas in 2024 and it will be her second season as a professional player. Young's team won MWC Tournament in 2022, 2023 and 2024. She was voted All-MWC Player of the Year in 2022 and 2024.
