Pirani's double-double lands him Serie B Nazionale Player of the Week award

24-year old forward Federico Pirani (203-F-2002) had an amazing evening in the last round for UCC Assigeco Piacenza and receives a Hoops Agents Serie B Nazionale Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Orzinuovi (4-2) 87-82. Piacenza UCC is placed at 4th position in Italian Serie B Nazionale. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Piacenza UCC will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. It's Pirani's second year at Piacenza UCC and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Federico Pirani averages this season 8.7ppg and 5.7rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Giovanni Lenti (200-C/F-1996, agency: BIG) of Geko PSA Sant Antimo Napoli Est. He is a in his first season at Napoli Est. In the last game Lenti recorded an impressive 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course he led Napoli Est to another comfortable win 81-67 over the higher-ranked Latina (#3, 4-2) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Napoli Est to move up to 9th position in Round 4. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Lenti is a newcomer at Napoli Est and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center Jacopo Balanzoni (205-C-1993, agency: SLN) of Paffoni Fulgor Omegna (#17). Balanzoni showcased his all-around game by recording 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Omegna, leading his team to a 86-74 win against the higher-ranked Piazza Armer. (#11, 3-3). Omegna can only dream about fighting for top spots in Round 4. They have rather bad season and 1-5 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Balanzoni has a very solid season. In 6 games in Italy he scored 13.5ppg. He also has 6.3rpg, 1.2bpg and a FGP of 65.4%.
