Superliga Round 2 (Regular Season): Peja 03 defeat Penza

There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in Superliga. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Penza on the court of Peja 03 on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Peja 03 85-72. Peja 03 dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Penza's 32. Peja 03 forced 21 Penza turnovers and outrebounded them 47-24 including a 30-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. French center Eve Wembanyama (185-2001) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Jacaira Allen (180-1998, college: ODU) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. replied with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for Penza. Peja 03 is looking forward to face Prishtina on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Penza will have a break next round.
Another exciting game for United which played in Mitrovice against Trepca. United won 89-83. had a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 20 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and DeMyla Brown chipped in 31 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. French center Eve Wembanyama (185-2001) responded with 29 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 7 steals. United will play against Junior 06 in Prizren in the next round. Trepca will play on the road against Bashkimi in Prizren to get more than just one victory in their record.
The game in Prizren supposed to be also quite interesting. Prishtina played at the court of Junior 06. Prishtina smashed Junior 06 105-71 on Saturday. Dejah Terrell notched a double-double by scoring 19 points, 19 rebounds and 6 blocks to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 43 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds by Shaniya Jones did not help to save the game for Junior 06. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Prishtina will meet at home Peja 03 in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Junior 06 will play against United and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The most impressive performance of 2nd round was 39 points (!!!) and 20 rebounds by Paige Powell of United.

The game in Prizren supposed to be also quite interesting. Prishtina played at the court of Junior 06. Prishtina smashed Junior 06 105-71 on Saturday. Prishtina forced 19 Junior 06 turnovers and outrebounded them 56-29 including a 21-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Prishtina looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Junior 06's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Prishtina made 12 blocks. American forward Dejah Terrell (185-1999, college: California, PA) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points, 19 rebounds and 6 blocks to lead the effort and supported her with 20 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 blocks. Five Prishtina players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 43 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds by American guard Shaniya Jones (176-1999, college: JCSU) did not help to save the game for Junior 06.
