Mauricio's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

American Guard Isabella Mauricio (163-G) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Trepca Mitrovica and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
She had a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds, while her team crushed United (#6, 2-6) with 24-point margin 75-51. Trepca maintains the 7th position in Kosovan Superliga. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 6 games and recorded just one victory. In the team's last game Mauricio had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 11 attempts. She turned to be Trepca's top player in her first season with the team. Brown University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Mauricio is in league's top in points (6th best: 23.0ppg).

Second best performed player last round was Paige Powell (188-F) of United Basketball. She is American forward in her first season at United. In the last game Powell recorded an impressive double-double of 22 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as United lost that game 51-75 to slightly lower-ranked Trepca (#7, 1-6). United managed to keep the same 6th spot in the standings. 6 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories United managed to get this year. Powell is a newcomer at United and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.3ppg (#2). She also registered 14.3 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to center Kirsty Brown (190-C-1999) of league's second-best Peja 03. Brown showcased her all-around game by recording 7 points, 21 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Peja 03, leading her team to a 73-52 easy win against the lower-ranked Penza (#5, 2-5). Peja 03 is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 5-1 record is not that bad... Brown has a great season in Kosovo. After only 6 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 8.5ppg (4th best), rebounds with 11.0rpg (7th best) and assists with 2.0apg (6th best).
