Egle Sventoraite gets MVP of the Week award for WBBL (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced Egle Sventoraite (198-C-1991) had a great game in the last round for Klaipedos Neptunas and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 35-year old center had a double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds, while her team outclassed Alytaus (#9, 1-2) with 27-point margin 89-62. Neptunas is placed at 4th position in WBBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Neptunas will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. Sventoraite turned to be Neptunas' top player in her first season with the team. Sventoraite has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (3rd best: 20.3ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 9.7rpg) and averages solid 65.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Australian guard Georgia Woolley (183-G-2002) of league's best team Siauliu Siauliai. Woolley impressed basketball fans with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course she led Siauliai to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked RSU (#5, 1-2) 115-48. Of course Siauliai still keep the league's top spot. A very good start of the season for her team, which won so far all 4 games without any defeat. Woolley is a newcomer at Siauliai and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.3ppg (#1). Her other stats are also decent: 4.5rpg and 3.3apg.

The third best performed player last round was Brazilian Maiara Dias (185-PF-2002, agency: Interperformances) of LCC Tarptautinis Universitetas Klaipeda (#8). Dias scored 17 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). Despite Dias' great performance the LCC Klaipeda lost 61-75 to the higher-ranked Aistes-LSMU (#3, 3-1). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of LCC Klaipeda not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victory. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Dias could try to bring LCC Klaipeda's a little bit higher in the standings. Dias has individually a great season in WBBL. After only 3 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.0rpg (2nd best).
