Mikelsone comes back to TTT Riga

Anita Mikelsone

TTT Riga (LSBL) strengthened their roster with the addition of 22-year-old 178cm swingman Anita Mikelsone for the 2024-25 season. It is actually her comeback to Riga as she has played here before. She has played for the last three years at Rigas Stradina Universitate Riga in the LSBL. In 7 games, she was the league's third-best scorer with an impressive 16.4ppg and had 8.9rpg (#4 in the league), 2.6apg, and 2.6spg (in the top 2) last season. She helped them to make it to the Latvian LSBL final. A very spectacular season in her career as she was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-Latvian LSBL First Team. Mikelsone also played 21 games in the WBBL where she recorded 11.8ppg, 9.0rpg, 2.7apg, and 1.3spg. A good season as she was selected League Player of the Week.
She represented Latvia at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 in Klatovy (Czech Republic) five years ago. During this event, she scored an average of 2.9 ppg and had 3.4 rpg.
Mikelsone has played also in Latvia (Cesis, Latvijas Universitate, TTT Juniores and Latvija U16 Riga), Portugal (BAC Cabana Beach Bar) and Estonia (TTT Juniores and Latvijas Universitate).
She won the Douglas BBL Elite Division championship title in 2020.
