The most interesting game of round 8 was a derby match between two teams from Kosovo. Top-ranked Bashkimi won against host Prishtina (6-2) 72-66. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Prishtina. Bashkimi forced 22 Prishtina turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Sarah Mgbeike (185, college: OLLU) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 9 rebounds and guard Arbnore Perquku (176-1988) who added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 14 assists during the contest. American guard Asianae Johnson (173, college: MSU) responded with 21 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Undefeated Bashkimi (8-0) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending Kosovan champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 8 victories in a row. Prishtina at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost. Bashkimi are looking forward to face Tirana (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Prishtina will play against Flamurtari in Vlore and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.

The winners were led by Cuban point guard Oyanaisy Gelis (172-1983) who scored that evening 15 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and Morina Bojka supported her with 21 points and 5 rebounds. Even a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds by point guard Ornela Lalaj (173-1994) did not help to save the game for Partizani. Partizani's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tirana maintains third position with 4-3 record having five points less than leader Bashkimi. Partizani lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with seven games lost. Tirana will play against league's leader Bashkimi in Prizren in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Partizani will play on the road against Penza (#4) in Peja and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Vlore was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Kosovan Penza (3-5) played at the court of 5th ranked Albanian Flamurtari (1-6). Penza managed to secure a 7-point victory 81-74 on Tuesday. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was Davion Wingate who scored 21 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Asia Henderson produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 20 rebounds for the hosts. Penza maintains fourth position with 3-5 record. Flamurtari lost fifth consecutive game. Defending Albanian champion keeps the fifth place with six games lost. Penza will meet at home bottom-ranked Partizani (#6) in the next round. Flamurtari will play against the league's second-placed Prishtina and hope to win that game.
