Liga Unike round 4 best performance: Adrienne Williams (by Hoops Agents)

American Forward Adrienne Williams (180-F-1991) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Peja 03, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 34-year old player had a double-double of 30 points and 11 rebounds, while her team outclassed Tirana (#4, 1-2) with 27-point margin 104-77. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Peja 03 to consolidate first place in the Liga Unike. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Peja 03 already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Williams had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range. She turned to be Peja 03's top player in her first season with the team. Former University of Illinois star has very solid stats this year. Williams is in league's top in points (3rd best: 22.7ppg), rebounds (7th best: 9.3rpg), assists (6th best: 6.0apg) and averages impressive 2.7spg and 55.6% FGP. Worth to mention Williams played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped her get the job in pro basketball.

The second best player in last round's games was another Peja 03's star - American Paige Powell (188-F). Powell had a very good evening with 32 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course together with Williams she helped Peja 03 with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Tirana (#4, 1-2) 104-77. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Peja 03 consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. A very good start of the season for her team, which won so far all 3 games without any defeat. Powell is a newcomer at Peja 03, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 32.0ppg (#1). She also registered 11.5 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Besjana Martinaj (165-PG-2000) of KBF Prishtina (#6). Martinaj showcased her all-around game by recording 29 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists in the last round. Despite Martinaj's great performance the Prishtina lost 62-70 to slightly higher-ranked Partizani (#5, 1-3). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. Prishtina can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 2 games. Martinaj has individually a great season in Liga Unike. After only 2 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.5ppg (2nd best) and assists with 7.0apg (5th best).
