Zalgiris celebrated the fourth consecutive Citadele KMT title. They overcame Jonava in the Final today. Edgaras Ulanovas (199-SF-1992) scored 22 points to pace the Kaunas team.
Zalgiris earned a 26-17 lead after the opening term. Jonava slowed their opponents down in the second frame. They pulled within 7 points at halftime 40-33. Jonava surged ahead in the third quarter. They entered the final period up by a single point. But Zalgiris quickly regained the lead in the fourth stanza as they opened a 67-62 advantage. Zalgiris led throughout the reminder of the contest and cruised to the win. Arnas Butkevicius (197-SF-1992) netted 17 points in the victory. Edvinas Seskus (196-G/F-1995, agency: BIG) notched 17 points, while Glynn Watson Jr. (185-PG-1997, college: Nebraska) finished with 15 points in the loss.
