Thomas' double-double lands her Player of the Week award

23-year old American forward Kayla Thomas (188-F-2003) put on an amazing game in the last round for Siauliu Siauliai and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
She had a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds, while her team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team TTT Juniores with 31-point margin 101-70. Thomas turned to be Siauliai's top player in her first season with the team. Mississippi State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Thomas is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 8.5rpg) and averages solid 66.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Maija Aploka (169-G-2008) of league's second-best SBK Liepaja/LSSS. She is a guard in her 3rd season at Liepaja/LSSS. In the last game Aploka recorded an impressive 22 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Of course she led Liepaja/LSSS to another comfortable win outscoring LCC Klaipeda 87-62. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Aploka is one of the most experienced players at Liepaja/LSSS and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Shug Dickson (178-G-1998, agency: KAM) of Rokiskio Rokiskis (#4). Dickson scored 25 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. She was a key player of Rokiskio, leading her team to a 81-65 easy win against Aistes-LSMU. Dickson has a great season in WBBL. After only 2 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 27.5ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 9.0rpg (4th best).
