Wolves land Matas Jogela, ex Rio Breogan

BC Wolves Vilnius (LKL) have signed 26-year-old Lithuanian international Matas Jogela for the upcoming season. Jogela, a 201cm swingman, was the second leading scorer at Rio Breogan in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Last season, he averaged 7.3ppg, 3.9rpg, and 1.3apg in 33 games, and in 9 Basketball Champions League games, he put up 9.0ppg, 2.4rpg, and 2.2apg. Prior to this, he spent four seasons (2019-23) playing for Neptunas.
Jogela has been a member of the Lithuanian international program for some years. He played for the Lithuanian senior team this year and previously for the Under 19 National Team in 2017.
Jogela represented Lithuania at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 in Chemnitz (Germany) six years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 16 ppg and had 4.2 rpg.
He has played previously for five other Lithuanian teams: Dzukija, Prienu Maciunai-KKSC, Zalgiris Kaunas 2nd team, S.Marciulionio KA-Blancomet, and BC Rytas Vilnius 2nd team.
Jogela's team reached the Lithuanian Cup Final Four in 2020. He was selected for the Eurobasket.com Lithuanian LKL All-Domestic Players Team in 2023.
