25-year old American power forward
Luke Davis (203-F/C-2001, agency:
Haylett Sports) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked
BC Mess and receives a Hoops Agents Nationale 2 Player of the Week award for round 7.
He had a double-double of 35 points and 28 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team
Black Frogs (#11,
0-8) with 47-point margin
103-56.
Mess is placed at 2nd position in Luxembourg Nationale 2. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season.
Mess will need more victories to improve their
6-2 record. Davis turned to be
Mess' top player in his first season with the team. East Carolina University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Davis is in league's top in points (8th best: 23.7ppg) and averages solid 62.5% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was
Cam Brooks-Harris (201-F) of top-ranked
AB Contern. He is American forward in his first season at AB Contern. In the last game Brooks-Harris recorded an impressive double-double of 31 points and 13 rebounds. Of course AB Contern cruised to a
92-82 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked
Avanti (#3,
5-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. AB Contern consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. He plays for the best team in the league and AB Contern managed to win all 8 games keeping a perfect record. Brooks-Harris is a newcomer at AB Contern and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.4ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 10.3rpg and 4.6apg.
Third place about best performers goes to guard
Gianluca Pellegrino (190-G-1993) of
BBC Mambra Mamer (#8). Pellegrino got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for ten rebounds and five assists. Despite Pellegrino's great performance the Mamer lost
89-90 to slightly higher-ranked
North Fox (#7,
4-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Mamer ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 4 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Pellegrino could help Mamer to bring them higher in the standings. Pellegrino has a very solid season. In 7 games in Luxembourg he scored 19.7ppg. He also has 7.6rpg, 2.9spg, a FGP of 61.0% and 3PT: 44.4%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
