Divizia Nationala Round 7 (Second Stage): Trojans-Speranta celebrate the title - Apr 26, 2016
The Second Stage in Divizia Nationala just ended.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Donbasket (4-2) in Donduseni on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Trojans-Speranta (5-1) 63-51. The winners therefore clinched the Divizia Nationala title. The guests trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 35-16 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Trojans-Speranta keeps a position of Nationala leader. Defending champion Donbasket dropped to the second place with two games lost. Denis Melniciuc (190-G-92) posted 24 points for the new champions. Another interesting game for Admirals UTM (4-2) which played in Chisinau against 6th ranked USMF (3-3). Seventh ranked Admirals UTM crushed hosts 86-48. Admirals UTM moved-up to fifth place in Nationala. USMF at the other side dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. A very close game took place in Ribnita between Gamma-Sind and Ribnita-UTM. Eighth ranked Gamma-Sind (2-4) got a very close victory on the road over 5th ranked Ribnita-UTM (3-3). Gamma-Sind managed to escape with a 3-point win 63-60 on Sunday evening. Gamma-Sind maintains eighth place in Nationala with 2-4 record. Loser Ribnita-UTM dropped to the sixth position with three games lost.

Gamma-Sind maintains eighth place in Nationala with 2-4 record. Loser Ribnita-UTM dropped to the sixth position with three games lost.
Another interesting game for Admirals UTM (4-2) which played in Chisinau against 6th ranked USMF (3-3). Seventh ranked Admirals UTM crushed hosts 86-48. The game without a history. Admirals UTM led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding USMF to just 5 points in third quarter. Admirals UTM moved-up to fifth place in Nationala. USMF at the other side dropped to the seventh position with three games lost.

Donbasket celebrated the victory in the Moldovan Cup. They overcame UASM 107:67 in the Final. Evgheni Nartov (200-F-87) stepped up with 26 points to pace the winners. Donbasket dominated from start to finish in the game. They raced to a 35:12 lead after the opening frame. The margin grew at 30-point mark at halftime 61:31. Donbasket held their opponents to 12 points in the fourth frame and cruised to the victory. Anton Rulevski (194-SF-88) and Eugeniu Melnic (196-F/G-79) delivered 22 points each for the winning side. Vlad Gaicianu (201-C-95) responded with 28 points for UASM. Statnic netted 13 points in the loss.
South outscore North in All-Star Game - Jan 31, 2016

The traditional All-Star Game took place at the Futsal Arena FMF in Chisinau. South selection overcame their North opponents. Nikolay Kozhukhar (187-G-84) stepped up with 20 points to pace the winners. He was named the MVP. North erupted for 28 points in the opening frame and raced to an 8-point lead. But South bounced back with a 27:19 run in the second period to spur ahead. The seesaw action continued in the second half. The lead changed hands for few times before the South selection made the decisive push for the victory. Vladimir Colesnicov (202-F/C-80) provided 12 points, while Oleg Adamov (176-PG-96) added 11 points for the winners. Vitalie Oprea (205-F-86) responded with 16 points for North. Eugeniu Melnic (196-F/G-79) topscored with 18 points in the loss. Anton Rulevski (194-SF-88) celebrated victory in the Three-Point Shootout Contest.

Donbasket-USM conquered the SuperCup title. They beat Division A winners Viva-Basket for the trophy. Anton Rulevski (194-SF-88) scored 20 points for the winning side. Donbasket opened a 23:10 lead after the starting quarter. They stretched the margin in the second frame. Donbasket accumulated a 43:25 halftime lead. Donbasket stayed on fire in the second half. They unleashed 48 points after the long break and raced to the victory. Eugeniu Melnic (196-F/G-79) tossed in 17 points, while Vitaliy Oprea (200-C-86) and Evgheni Nartov (200-F-87) had 15 points each for Donbasket. Popov responded with 21 points for Viva-Basket.
