Prva A Liga Round 16 (Regular Season): Derby game ends with MZT's defeat of Badel

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Skopje: MZT (#2) and Badel (#6). Badel was defeated at home 79-84 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Badel. MZT maintains second position with 11-4 record behind leader KAM Basket. Badel at the other side keeps the sixth place with nine games lost. MZT are looking forward to face league's leader KAM Basket in Kamenica in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Badel will play on the road against Kriva Palanka (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Struga 2009 is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 15th consecutive match to fourth ranked Grizli (8-7) 84-54. Grizli have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 8-7 record, which they share with Kriva Palanka. Struga 2009 at the other side still closes the standings with 15 games lost. Grizli will play against Probasket (#7) in Kavadartsi in the next round. Struga 2009 will play on the road against Vardar in Skopje and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in Kavadartsi was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Kriva Palanka (8-7) played at the court of 7th ranked Probasket (4-11). Kriva Palanka managed to secure a 4-point victory 83-79 on Sunday. Kriva Palanka moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Grizli. Probasket lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 11 games lost. Kriva Palanka will meet at home Badel (#6) in the next round. Probasket will play against Grizli in Kumanovo and hope to secure a win.
