Prva A Liga Round 12 (Regular Season): MZT is defeated by Vardar in a derby game

There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in Prva A Liga. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Skopje: Vardar (#4) and MZT (#5). MZT was smashed at home by 34 points 60-94 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Vardar (6-5) moved-up to third place, which they share with Ohrid. MZT at the other side keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. Vardar's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Skopje Badel.

In the last two games of round 12 Probasket lost to Badel on the opponent's court 59-72. Struga 2009 outscored Rinia in a home game 70-42.

Badel - Probasket 72-59

Very expected game in Skopje where 7th ranked Probasket (1-10) was defeated by third ranked Badel (7-3) 72-59 on Saturday. Badel have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 7-3 record having just one point less than leader Sport Tim. Probasket at the other side keeps the seventh place with ten games lost. Badel's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Skopje to the arena Vardar.

MZT - Vardar 60-94

Struga 2009 - Rinia 70-42

Rather predictable result when second ranked Struga 2009 (8-2) smashed at home 5th ranked Rinia (4-6) 70-42 on Saturday. Struga 2009 maintains second position with 8-2 record behind leader Sport Tim. Rinia lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth place with six games lost. Struga 2009 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rinia will play on the road against Gostivar (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
