Thomas number one in North Macedonia Prva A Liga for round 1 (by Hoops Agents)

American Forward Kayla Thomas (188-F-2003) had an amazing evening in the last round for Probasket Akademija, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 22-year old player had a double-double of 29 points and 18 rebounds, while her team in a lost game to Badel (#1, 1-0) 83-87. Probasket moved-up to the 7th position in North Macedonian Prva A Liga. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 1 games and recorded no victories. Thomas turned to be Probasket's top player in her first season with the team. Former Mississippi State University star has very solid stats this year. Thomas is league's best scorer averaging so far 29.0ppg and leads league in rebounds with 18.0rpg. Thomas is in league's top in and averages impressive 2.0bpg and 80.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Abby Niehues (186-PF-1999) of KK Kriva Palanka. Niehues had a very good evening with a double-double of 27 points and 12 rebounds. Of course she led Kriva Palanka to another comfortable win outscoring Patriot (0-1) 103-44. Her team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Niehues is a newcomer at Kriva Palanka, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 27.0ppg (#3). She also registered 12.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Kriva Palanka's star - American forward Alexis Poole (188-F-1999). Poole scored 26 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. She was another key player of KK Kriva Palanka, helping her team with a 103-44 easy win against Patriot (#6, 0-1). Kriva Palanka has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Poole also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Poole as she played only first game. But it already looks like she can be another team's leader.
