The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Vardar (3-1) on the court of fourth ranked Kriva Palanka on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by Kriva Palanka 94-63. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Vardar. Kriva Palanka dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Vardar's 38. They outrebounded Vardar 47-31 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kriva Palanka looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Vardar's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Kriva Palanka made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Alexis Poole (188-1999, college: KSU) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 8 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) and who added 22 points, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest. At the losing side responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Prva A Liga top team - KAM Basket (4-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Sport Tim (0-4) in Kamenica 68-47. The winners were led by who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and Ivana Kmetovska supported her with 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. KAM Basket's coach Tony Simic felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds by American forward Alexis Poole (188-1999, college: KSU) did not help to save the game for Sport Tim. KAM Basket have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 4-0 record. Sport Tim at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. This time they lost on the road their fourth consecutive match to fifth ranked Probasket (3-1) 95-70 on Sunday evening. Milica Jovanovic fired 20 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Coach Atanas Dimov's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Crystal Corley produced a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds for lost side. Probasket have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser MZT still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Patriot and Sport Tim. Probasket will meet at home league's second-placed Kriva Palanka in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
