It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Badel. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Kriva Palanka looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for American forward Alexis Poole (188-1999, college: KSU) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 11 rebounds (on 12-of-13 shooting from the field). contributed with 13 points for the winners. replied with 20 points and 4 steals for Badel. Kriva Palanka have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Vardar and KAM Basket. Badel at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. Badel will play next round against strong Vardar trying to get back on the winning streak. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Skopje - Vardar. Kriva Palanka will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Sport Tim on the road.
MZT's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after five consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Sport Tim (1-5) 54-37. scored 17 points to lead the charge for the winners and Dora Aleksova chipped in 5 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Alexis Poole (188-1999, college: KSU) with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. MZT left bottom position moving up to sixth place, which they share with defeated Sport Tim. MZT will play against bottom-ranked Patriot (#8) in the next round. Sport Tim will play against the league's leader Kriva Palanka to get more than just one victory in their record.
Prva A Liga top team - KAM Basket (5-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Patriot (0-6) in Kamenica 74-38. Sanja Adamovska notched a triple-double by scoring 16 points, 14 rebounds and 14 assists to lead the effort. KAM Basket's coach Tony Simic felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds by Margarita Chipova did not help to save the game for Patriot. Defending champion maintains first position with 5-1 record, which they share with Vardar and Kriva Palanka. Loser Patriot still closes the standings with six games lost. KAM Basket will meet Probasket (#5) in the next round. Patriot will play against MZT and hopes to get finally their first victory.
In the last game of round 6 Probasket was beaten by Vardar on the road 85-79.
The most impressive performance of 6th round was 35 points (!!!) and 19 rebounds by Kayla Thomas of Probasket.
