Niehues' double-double lands her Player of the Week award

26-year old American power forward Abby Niehues (186-PF-1999, agency: DC Sports) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked KK Kriva Palanka and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
She had a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds, while her team beat Probasket (#5, 7-5) 63-52. Kriva Palanka maintains the 2nd position in North Macedonian Prva A Liga. They are still close to the very top. Kriva Palanka would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 10-2 record. Niehues turned to be Kriva Palanka's top player in her first season with the team. Southern Nazarene University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Niehues is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 9.4rpg) and averages solid 3.4bpg and 55.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Lindsey Cleary (183-F-1997) of KK Badel 1862 Skopje. She is American forward in her first season at Badel. In the last game Cleary recorded an impressive double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds. Of course Badel cruised to a 76-65 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked MZT (#6, 3-9). This victory allowed Badel to move up to 4th position in the standings. Her team's 7-5 record is not bad at all. Cleary is a newcomer at Badel and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.1ppg (#9). She also registered 9.2 boards per game. Former Claremont-Mudd-Scripps College star Cleary is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third place about best performers goes to another Badel's star - forward Marija Nikolov (172-F-2005). Nikolov scored 27 points and passed 6 assists. She was another key player of KK Badel 1862 Skopje, helping her team with a 76-65 win against slightly lower-ranked MZT (#6, 3-9). Badel needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 5 lost games. Nikolov has a great season in North Macedonia. After 12 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.3ppg (6th best) and assists with 6.0apg (2nd best).
