Prva A Liga Round 15 (Regular Season): Vardar beat Probasket by three after a very close game

Coincidentally all hosts won their games. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most exciting game of round 15 in the Prva A Liga took place in Skopje. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Probasket (8-7) to fourth ranked Vardar (10-5) 76-73 on Monday evening. Strangely Probasket outrebounded Vardar 45-33 including 31 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for the former international Elena Tasevska (186-2002) who led her team to a victory with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Montenegrin guard Snezana Aleksic (173-1989) contributed with 14 points and 10 assists for the winners. American forward Kayla Thomas (188-2003, college: MSU) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 25 rebounds for Probasket. Probasket's coach Atanas Dimov rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vardar moved-up to third place, which they share with Badel. Probasket at the other side keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Vardar's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Skopje to the arena MZT.
Prva A Liga top team - KAM Basket (13-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat seventh ranked Sport Tim (1-14) in Kamenica 69-55. It was a great evening for the former international forward Cvetanka Dimova (177-1998) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Amal Hafhallaoui helped adding 21 points and 9 rebounds. KAM Basket's coach Tony Simic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Ana Lukic with 16 points and 8 rebounds. KAM Basket have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 13-2 record. Sport Tim lost tenth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 14 games lost. They share it with Patriot. KAM Basket will play against league's second-placed Kriva Palanka at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sport Tim will play against Probasket (#5) to get more than just one victory in their record.
