Thomas' double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

22-year old American forward Kayla Thomas (188-F-2003) had a very impressive game in the last round for Probasket Akademija and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
She had a double-double of 26 points and 25 rebounds, while her team was edged out by Vardar (#4, 10-5) 76-73. Probasket maintains the 5th position in North Macedonian Prva A Liga. Probasket is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 7th lost game this season out of 15 games. Thomas turned to be Probasket's top player in her first season with the team. Mississippi State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Thomas is in league's top in points (2nd best: 20.6ppg) and averages solid 66.1% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Cvetanka Dimova (177-F-1998) of top-ranked KAM Basket Kamenica. She is international forward in her 4th season at KAM Basket. In the last game Dimova recorded an impressive double-double of 20 points and 14 rebounds. Of course she led KAM Basket to another comfortable win 69-55 over the lower-ranked Sport Tim (#8, 1-14) being unquestionably team leader. Of course KAM Basket still keep the league's top spot. Her team lost just two games this season, while they won 13 matches. Dimova is one of the most experienced players at KAM Basket and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.5ppg (#5). She also registered 9.1 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another Probasket's star - Milica Jovanovic (2003). Jovanovic got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. She went also for seven rebounds and four assists. Despite Jovanovic's great performance the Probasket Akademija lost 73-76 to slightly higher-ranked Vardar (#4, 10-5). But her team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. The last thing Probasket needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 8 victories and 7 lost games. Jovanovic has a great season in North Macedonia. After 15 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.9ppg (3rd best) and assists with 5.4apg (4th best).
