Best players of North Macedonian Prva A Liga round 17

Talented Naturalized Serbian Forward Milica Nikolic (188-F-2006) put on an amazing game in the last round for ZKK Vardar Skopje and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 19-year old forward had a double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds, while her team beat Patriot (#7, 1-16) 99-88. Vardar maintains the 4th position in North Macedonian Prva A Liga. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Vardar will need more victories to improve their 12-5 record. In the team's last game Nikolic had a remarkable 76.9% from 2-point range. She turned to be Vardar's top player in her first season with the team. Milica Nikolic averages this season 15.3ppg and 10.0rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Kayla Thomas (188-F-2003) of Probasket Akademija. Thomas impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 31 points and 12 rebounds. Of course she led Probasket to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked MZT (#6, 5-12) 72-50. Probasket's 5th position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 10-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Thomas is a newcomer at Probasket and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.0ppg (#2). She also registered 13.3 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Abby Niehues (186-PF-1999, agency: DC Sports) of top-ranked KK Kriva Palanka. Niehues scored 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Kriva Palanka, leading her team to a 93-52 easy win against the lower-ranked Sport Tim (#8, 1-16). Kriva Palanka confirms their top position in the standings. Niehues has a great season in North Macedonia. After 17 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.6rpg (7th best). She also has 3.4bpg and a FGP of 55.0%.
