Prva A Liga Round 19 (Regular Season): Vardar lose to Kriva Palanka in the game between Top 4 teams

The game between Top Four teams took place in Skopje. 3rd placed host Vardar (13-6) was smashed by first ranked Kriva Palanka (16-3) 84-63. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Vardar. Kriva Palanka dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Vardar's 38. It was a great evening for American guard Dyani Robinson (170-2001, college: N.Texas) who led her team to a victory scoring 34 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Her fellow American import Abby Niehues (186-1999, college: S.Nazarene, agency: DC Sports) helped adding 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks. Kriva Palanka's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international forward Milica Nikolic (188-2006) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Kriva Palanka have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 16-3 record. Vardar at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. They share it with Badel.
The game in Kavadartsi was also worth to mention about. Third ranked KAM Basket (14-5) played at the court of 5th ranked Probasket (10-9). KAM Basket defeated Probasket 66-50. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Cvetanka Dimova (177-1998) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 8 rebounds. Sanja Adamovska accounted for 9 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Serbian Milica Jovanovic (-2003) came up with 31 points and 6 rebounds for Probasket in the defeat. Probasket's coach Atanas Dimov rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Probasket at the other side keeps the fifth position with nine games lost.

Ana Lukic produced 25 points and 6 assists (made all of her eight free throws) for lost side. Badel moved-up to third place, which they share with Vardar. Loser Sport Tim stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost.

In the last game of round 19 Patriot won against MZT on the opponent's court 61-47.

Badel - Sport Tim 82-58

Fourth ranked Badel (13-6) crushed at home 8th ranked Sport Tim (2-17) by 24 points 82-58, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. Badel dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Sport Tim's 32. Badel forced 32 Sport Tim turnovers and outrebounded them 47-28 including a 23-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Badel looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Sport Tim's players. American guard Arin Freeman (170, college: UIC) fired 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Her fellow American import forward Lindsey Cleary (183-1997, college: CMS) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. Freeman is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Badel's coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Ana Lukic produced 25 points and 6 assists (made all of her eight free throws) and Sara Mitanovska (-2010) added 7 points and 15 rebounds respectively for lost side. Badel moved-up to third place, which they share with Vardar. Loser Sport Tim stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost.

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Skopje where 6th ranked MZT (5-14) was defeated by seventh ranked Patriot (3-16) 61-47 on Sunday. American guard Lauren Scott (165, college: High Point) fired a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Her fellow American import guard Tymberlin Criswell (173, college: TAMUCC) chipped in 17 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Patriot's coach used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. The former international Vanja Milosavljevikj (-2009) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and Ana Sarafiloska (-2009) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Patriot maintains seventh place with 3-16 record. MZT lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 14 games lost.
