Cluse's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

American Guard Maddi Cluse (178-G) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Froya Basket Laksevag and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
She had a double-double of 23 points and 14 rebounds, while her team outclassed Ammerud (#5, 1-2) with 43-point margin 104-61. It allowed Froya to take over top position in the Norwegian Kvinneligaen. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Froya won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Cluse had a remarkable 76.9% from 2-point range. She turned to be Froya's top player in her first season with the team. Clemson University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Cluse is in league's top in points (5th best: 19.5ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 14.5rpg) and averages solid 4.0spg and 60.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Synne Jacobsen (183-F-2003) of Ulriken Eagles Bergen. She is international forward in her 9th season at Ulriken. In the last game Jacobsen recorded an impressive 21 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course she led Ulriken to another comfortable win outscoring Ammerud (1-2) 97-59. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Jacobsen is one of the most experienced players at Ulriken and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Tatiana Thomas (180-SF) of Ammerud Queens Oslo (#5). Thomas showcased her all-around game by recording 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. Despite Thomas' great performance the Ammerud lost 59-97 to Ulriken (#4, 1-1). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Ammerud not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victory. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Thomas could try to bring Ammerud's a little bit higher in the standings. Thomas has individually a great season in Norway. After only 3 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.3ppg (best scorer), rebounds with 10.0rpg (4th best) and assists with 4.0apg (9th best). Thomas attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on her way to pro basketball.
