Gal Gilinski's triple-double lands him 1Liga Player of the Week award

31-year old ISR-POLn guard Gal Gilinski (195-G-1995) put on an amazing game in the last round for KKS Polonia Warszawa and receives a Hoops Agents 1Liga Player of the Week award for round 7.
He recorded a triple-double of 25 points adding also 12 rebounds and 10 assists, while his team beat Pelplin (#8, 4-3) 108-94. Czarne Koszule maintains the 4th position in Polish 1Liga. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Polonia W-wa will need more victories to improve their 5-2 record. In the team's last game Gilinski had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Czarne Koszule's top player in his first season with the team. Gilinski has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (9th best: 18.3ppg), rebounds (8th best: 7.9rpg) and averages solid 2.1spg and 51.4% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Pawel Leonczyk (205-F/C-1986) of Energa Kotwica Kolobrzeg. He is international forward in his 2nd season at Kolobrzeg. In the last game Leonczyk recorded an impressive double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds. It was enough for Kotwica to edge the lower-ranked Opole (#14, 1-6) by 6 points 90-84. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Kolobrzeg keeps 11th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-4 record. Leonczyk is well-known at Kolobrzeg and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to another Polonia W-wa's star - guard Jacoby Ross (178-PG-1997). Ross got into 30-points club by scoring 36 points in the last round. He went also for five assists. He was another key player of KKS Polonia Warszawa, helping his team with a 108-94 easy win against the lower-ranked Pelplin (#8, 4-3). Czarne Koszule needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 2 lost games. Ross has a great season in Poland. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.1ppg (4th best). He also has a FGP of 54.3% and 3PT: 40.4%. Ross attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
