Mikolajko's double-double lands him 2Liga Player of the Week award

46-year old power forward Artur Mikolajko (196-PF-1979) had a very impressive game in the last round for AZS Jaroslaw and receives a Hoops Agents 2Liga Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had a double-double of 35 points and 13 rebounds, while his team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Przemysl (#16, 0-5) with 19-point margin 110-91. Jaroslaw is placed at 8th position in Polish 2Liga. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. Jaroslaw will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. Mikolajko has many years of experience at Jaroslaw, through which he has constantly improved. Artur Mikolajko averages this season 16.0ppg and 10.2rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Pawel Sowinski (193-G-2005) of Arriva Polski Cukier Torun. He is a guard in his 6th season at UMK Torun. In the last game Sowinski recorded an impressive 31 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course Twarde Pierniki cruised to a 80-68 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Gniezno (#7, 3-2). This victory allowed Arriva P.Cukier to move up to 4th position in Group A. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 4 matches. Sowinski is one of the most experienced players at Arriva P.Cukier and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center Michal Olszanski (207-C-2000) of KS Cracovia 1906 Krakow (#6). Olszanski scored 19 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). Despite Olszanski's great performance the Cracovia lost 72-84 to slightly higher-ranked Kielce (#5, 3-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Cracovia needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in the Group C. Their record is 3 victories and 2 lost games. Olszanski has a great season in Poland. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 14.4rpg (5th best).

9. Mikolaj Czyz (205-C/F-1998) of Gniezno - 12 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Rafal Wojciechowski (192-G-1985) of Klodzko - 25 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
