They overcame Sampaense/Tecoimbra 95:79 on the road to post the decisive third win in the finals. Illiabum won the regular season and entered the playoffs as the main favorites. They lived up to the status reaching the Final and then holding off ambitious Sampaense. Illiabum were close of clinching the title in the third game but narrowly lost to Sampaense at the end. Now they were eager for revenge. But the first frame did not give the clear answer. The teams traded baskets and Illiabum had a 2-point lead at the intermission. The visitors pushed harder in the second frame stretching the margin to 10 points at halftime. Nate Daniels (201-F-83, agency: Hart Sports Mngm, college: Mountain St.) paced Illiabum as they maintained the lead throughout the third quarter. The visitors entered the fourth term up by 17 points and never surrendered the advantage. Nate Daniels scored 26 points and pulled down 6 boards for the winners. James St.Robert (203-F/C-86, agency: Rice and Rice, college: Dowling) added 20 points, while Vasco Estevao (-85) managed 16 points for Illiabum.
