Doze Eurobasket Team Goes 3-1 in Portugal Venture

Doze Stays Perfect, Improves to 3-0 with Victory Over CD Póvoa

Doze continued its impressive Eurobasket run on June 3, defeating CD Póvoa to improve to 3-0 on the Portugal tour. Playing with the same determination that carried them through their first two wins, the short-handed squad once again relied on balanced scoring, tough defense, and dominant rebounding to remain unbeaten.

Darrin Clark (180-G) led the offense with 22 points, while Talib Ferrette (198-F) added 17 points and 7 rebounds. Josiah Evely (193-F) delivered one of the most complete performances of the tour, finishing with 16 points, 18 rebounds, and 6 steals, controlling the game on both ends of the floor. Landon Russ (G) contributed 12 points, and EJ Wynn (196-F) added 10 points, 6 assists, and 5 steals as Doze showcased its depth and versatility.

The team's defensive intensity was a major factor in the victory, forcing turnovers and creating transition opportunities throughout the game. With contributions coming from every player in the rotation, Doze continued to prove that even with a limited roster, it had the talent and toughness to compete at a high level. The win moved the team to 3-0 and set up an opportunity to complete an undefeated Eurobasket tour.

Doze Falls in Tour Finale, Finishes Portugal Trip with Impressive 3-1 Record

Doze's quest for a perfect Eurobasket tour came up just short on June 4 as the team dropped a hard-fought contest to Galitos. Despite the loss, Doze closed the Portugal trip with an outstanding 3-1 record, an impressive achievement considering the team traveled short-handed after losing two players before the tour began.

Nick Medeiros (180-PG) led the offensive effort with 26 points and 7 rebounds, while Josiah Evely continued his stellar tour with 21 points and 14 rebounds, posting another double-double. Darrin Clark added 16 points, and the team once again received strong contributions throughout the lineup. EJ Wynn filled the stat sheet with 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals, helping keep Doze within striking distance throughout the game.

Although the final result didn't go their way, Doze competed with the same toughness and resilience that defined the entire trip. The team's 3-1 finish showcased its depth, determination, and ability to overcome adversity, with several players stepping into larger roles and delivering standout performances throughout the week. The tour provided a memorable experience and plenty of momentum moving forward.
