Mamyrkina number one in Russian Superleague for round 3 (by Hoops Agents)

Forward Mariya Mamyrkina (180-F-2002) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Politeh-SamGTU Samara 2nd team, receiving a Hoops Agents Superleague Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 24-year old player was the main contributor (19 points, eight rebounds) to her team's victory, helping them to edge out Sparta&K-2 V (#8, 1-2) 70-69. Samara-2 is placed at 4th position in Russian Superleague. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Samara-2 will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. In the team's last game Mamyrkina had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for her as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Mariya Mamyrkina averages just after three games 11.7ppg and 5.7rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Olesia Galenko (178-F-2006) of Dynamo-Farm Kursk. Galenko had a very good evening with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as Dynamo-Farm was edged by Slavyanka (2-0) 83-81. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Galenko is a newcomer at Dynamo-Farm, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Dynamo-Farm's star - forward Emiliya Emelyanova (184-F/C-2009). Emelyanova scored 27 points. Despite Emelyanova's great performance the Dynamo-Farm Kursk lost 81-83 to Slavyanka (#2, 2-0). But her team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. Dynamo-Farm can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 3 games. Emelyanova has individually a great season in Russia. After only 3 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.0ppg (4th best).
