Sony Centre Fury Clinch SBC Playoff Title to Complete Historic Treble-Mar 29, 2026
Sony Centre Fury — also known as Signs Express Fury — have been crowned 2026 SBC Men's Playoff champions, defeating City of Edinburgh 73–65 in the final to complete one of the most remarkable seasons in Scottish basketball history. The victory caps an extraordinary campaign for Head Coach John Bunyan's side. Fury entered the playoffs having already secured the SBC Division 1 Championship — completing a stunning league "three-peat" for the second time in the club's history — as well as the Scottish Cup, where they edged Renfrew Rocks 71–68 in a dramatic final. The playoff title now completes a coveted treble: league, cup and playoff crown all in the same season. Leading the way in the final was Ali Frase, who was named MVP after a dominant performance of 25 points and 11 rebounds. Fraser's display was a fitting reward for one of Fury's most influential players, and a telling reminder of why this team has been so difficult to stop all season. Murray Hendry, who had been outstanding throughout the campaign, provided able support alongside a squad that has proven its depth and resilience time and again. Fury's season was built on consistency throughout. Despite often being shorthanded, they went through the regular season unbeaten — a remarkable feat that underlined the gulf in class between Falkirk and the rest of SBC Division 1. Their 97–88 away win over Boroughmuir Blaze in the final regular season game with just eight available players perhaps best captured the spirit and character that has defined this team all year. For Fury, it is their 21st senior men's title under Coach John Bunyan — and arguably their finest season yet. Signs Express Fury claim 2026 Cup title-Feb 8, 2026
