All BasketballScotland Competition Postponed - Mar 14, 2020
The situation surrounding Covid-19 has moved significantly today. Following feedback from a number of clubs and a number of self-isolations being highlighted across various clubs, basketballscotland are postponing all basketballscotland competitions with immediate effect. The health and safety of all our players, coaches, officials and spectators is of paramount importance. Please take the steps to inform those affected the decision as quickly as possible, particularly those due to participate this evening. This has been a really challenging decision to take and we appreciate the impact it may have on clubs ahead of the weekend. We remain available to support clubs as much as possible. basketballscotland will continue to monitor the current situation and will inform of any updates. Bourghmuir Blaze - St Mirren 78-72
Bourghmuir Blaze celebrate 2020 Cup title beating St Mirren 78-72. They ensured a 21-13 lead and had a 47-30 halftime advantage. St Mirren replied with a 22-15 run in the third period and came up closer with a 20-16 rally in the last stanza. Bourghmuir Blaze however did not allow them to seal the win at the end. Sam Stott (180-F-97) top-scored for the winners with 27 points and was named MVP of the game. Brendan Mullan (185-G-97) posted 17, whilst Eoghann Dover (185-G/F-89) and Yannick Onifade (201-C/F) posted 12 each. Fergus Harte (180-PG-98) replied with 19 points in a loss, whilst Christopher Cleary (200-C-88) scored 16.
