The regular season champions overcame Nitra in the decisive fifth game of the series to clinch the trophy. Andrej Lukjanec (203-F/C-69) scored 15 points to lead the effort. Pezinok dominated in this one and celebrated a well-deserved victory. The hosts stormed into the game and quickly built a 21:9 lead. Pezinok finished the opening quarter ahead by 9 points 25:16. Pezinok maintained the margin in the second frame. The home team opened a double-digit lead and sealed the first half outcome at 43:31. Nitra tried to change things in the third quarter. They cut the deficit at 7-point mark midway through the term. But Pezinok restored an 11-point buffer at the final intermission. Dametri Hill (202-C-74, college: Florida) and Edward Scott (186-G-81, college: Clemson) narrowed the deficit at 5 points with just over two minutes to go in regulation. However Andrej Lukjanec came up with timely three-pointer and Pezinok ran away for the win at the end. David Jackson (193-G-86, agency: Liman Sports, college: W.Illinois) and Yemi Nicholson (208-C-83, college: Denver) contributed 13 points each for Pezinok. Nenad Milosevic (190-G-83) added 12 points in the victory. Branislav Tomek (205-C-83) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds for Nitra. Stanislav Votroubek (213-C-81) netted 11 points in the loss. Pezinok claim Slovakian Cup title - Feb 15, 2010 Pezinok - Nitra 95:72 Pezinok fired past Nitra in front of the home fans in the Slovakian Cup decider. Nenad Milosevic (190-G-83) exploded with 31 points to lead Pezinok to the title. Nitra jumped to a 5:3 lead early in the game but the hosts quickly adjusted and went on 17:0 run to surge ahead. Pezinok piled up a 26:14 advantage at the first break. The hosts kept their opponents at bay throughout the second stanza. They extended the lead to 19 points before Stanislav Votroubek (213-C-81) capped the half with five points in a row to cut the deficit. Pezinok however quickly established a 20+ advantage at the start of the third stanza. They maintained it well throughout the reminder of the frame heading into the fourth quarter up by 26 points. Clifford Crawford dragged Nitra within 14 points midway through the fourth period but it was as close as the visitors could get. Pezinok triggered a 7:1 run and ran away for good in this one. David Jackson (193-G-86, college: W.Illinois) provided 23 points for Pezinok. Yemi Nicholson (208-C-83, college: Denver) delivered 16 points in the winning effort. Stanislav Votroubek replied with 15 points for Nitra. Branislav Tomek (205-C-83) had 10 points and 13 rebounds in defeat.
