Eugene number one in Slovakia Tipos SBL for round 7 (by Hoops Agents)

American Guard Christyon Eugene (190-G-2001, agency: 011 Sports) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked BC Prievidza, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 25-year old player was the main contributor (30 points, six rebounds and five assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Spisski Rytieri (#8, 2-4) 101-90. Prievidza maintains the 2nd position in Slovakian Tipos SBL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Prievidza already had a very good start winning all 6 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Eugene had a remarkable 76.9% from 2-point range. He turned to be Prievidza's top player in his first season with the team. Former Troy University star has very solid stats this year. Eugene is in league's top in assists (5th best: 5.0apg) and averages impressive 71.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Brandon Newman (193-G-2001) of BC Komarno. Newman had a very good evening with 32 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. It was enough for Komarno to edge Iskra Svit (#11, 0-7) 90-84. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Komarno keeps 10th position. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Komarno managed to get this year. Newman is a newcomer at Komarno, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.4ppg (#3). He also registered 8.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Johnny Hughes III (201-F-1997) of Kosice Wolves (#4). Hughes III scored 28 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was a key player of Kosice W., leading his team to a 92-84 win against the lower-ranked Blue Wings (#7, 2-4). Kosice W. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 3 lost games. Hughes III has a great season in Slovakia. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.6ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 9.6rpg (4th best).
