There were just three rounds played in Regular Season of SKL and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

Celje smashed Maribor at home 64-38. Celje dominated down low during the game scoring 36 of its points in the paint compared to Maribor's 16. It was a good game for Croatian Iva Slonjsak (184-1997) who led her team to a victory with 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Egyptian power forward Raneem Elgedawy (186-1997, college: WKU) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Celje's coach Damir Grgic felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Neza Pobezin (182-2006) answered with 9 points and 5 rebounds for Maribor. Maribor will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Celje will try to continue on its current victory against Triglav in Kranj.
Another interesting game for Ilrija (1-2) which played on the court of Skofja Loka (0-3). Ilrija crushed hosts 87-57. It was a great evening for point guard Brina Sedminek (173-2007) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Ela Modric helped adding 9 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Urska Zibert (174-1993) with 16 points and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ilrija's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Ljubljana Jezica.
An interesting game for Triglav (3-0) which hosted in Kranj Jezica (1-2). Triglav had an easy win 76-53. It was an exceptional evening for Ema Stavrov who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Manca Marolt came up with 11 points for Jezica in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Triglav will meet Celje on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Jezica's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Ljubljana to the arena Ilrija.
