Toplisek number one in Slovenia Liga OTP banka for round 6

Center Aljaz Toplisek (203-C-2007) had an amazing evening in the last round for Rogaska Crystal, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 19-year old player was the main contributor (14 points, seven rebounds and two assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Zlatorog (#6, 3-3) 69-60. Rogaska is placed at 7th position in Slovenian Liga OTP banka. Rogaska is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-4 record. Toplisek has many years of experience at Rogaska, through which he has constantly improved. Aljaz Toplisek averages this season 4.3ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Mahmoud Bangura (201-F-2003) of KK Zlatorog Lasko. Bangura had a very good evening with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Zlatorog lost that game 60-69 to slightly lower-ranked Rogaska (#7, 2-4). This loss caused Zlatorog to drop to 6th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Bangura is a newcomer at Zlatorog, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.0ppg (#2). He also registered 8.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was international forward Tim Tomazic (199-F-1999) of KK Tajfun Sentjur (#10). Tomazic showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Tomazic's great performance the Sentjur lost 71-75 to the higher-ranked Nova Gorica (#5, 3-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Sentjur can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. The season just started for Tomazic as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
