Celje outrebounded Maribor 47-30 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. International point guard Lea Bartelme (178-2005) scored 17 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international point guard Blaza Ceh (181-2003) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. American forward Nylah Young (180-2001, college: William & Mary, agency: LBM Management) responded with 20 points and 8 rebounds and forward Tiana Meglic (180-2003) scored 6 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Point guard Lena Grebenc (170-2006) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Bosnian center Jana Guska (193-2005) replied with 8 points and 12 rebounds and Ziva Misjak (177-2005) added 13 points in the effort for Ilrija. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
