The most important game in the last round took place in Maribor between third ranked Triglav (11-8) and fourth ranked Maribor (10-9) on Saturday night. Triglav was defeated by Maribor on the road 73-58. Maribor forced 19 Triglav turnovers. The best player for the winners was Lana Iseinoski (172-2005) who scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Destiny Thompson (180-1997, college: Georgian Court) chipped in 12 points and 12 rebounds. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 19 victories in a row. Jezica lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 17 games lost. Celje will play against Maribor (#4) on the road in the next round. Jezica will play against Skofja Loka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Skofja Loka was also quite interesting. Third ranked Triglav (11-8) played at the court of 5th ranked Skofja Loka (3-16). Triglav defeated Skofja Loka 72-62 on Friday. Anja Dragar scored 22 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. The best for the losing side was Urska Zibert with 18 points and 5 assists. Triglav maintains third position with 11-8 record having eight points less than leader Celje. Skofja Loka lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 16 games lost. Triglav will meet at home league's second-placed Ilrija in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Skofja Loka will play against Jezica in Ljubljana and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
