Fire inks Teja Oblak

Teja Oblak

Portland Fire agreed terms with experienced 35-year old Slovenian international point guard Teja Oblak (5'8''-1990). She just played at Galatasaray in Turkish KBSL. In 18 games she had 7.6ppg, 2.5rpg and 3.9apg last season. She helped them to make it to the cup final. Oblak also played 17 games in Euroleague where she recorded 10.2ppg, 2.5rpg, 4.4apg and 1.2spg. Last season she played at ZVVZ USK Praha in Czech Republic league.
She has also been a member of the Slovenian international program for some years. Oblak has regularly played for the Slovenian senior team since 2009 and previously for the Under 18 National Team back in 2008.
She is a very experienced player. Oblak has played in Czech Republic, Hungary (Szekszard), Poland (Polkowice), Slovakia (Good Angels), and Slovenia (Celje and Skofja Loka).
Among many awards, she won the EuroLeague championship title in 2025. She was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-EuroLeague Honorable Mention in 2025. It's very possible she may end her playing career with Fire.
