The Regular Season in Liga OTP banka just ended. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The game between Top Four teams took place in Domzale. 4th placed host Helios Suns (13-14) lost to third ranked Sencur Gor. (18-9) 76-70. 26 personal fouls committed by Helios Suns helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for point guard Jan Novak (193-1995) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Power forward Domen Petrovic (204-2004) helped adding 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was Lenart Sirc (204-2003, agency: PEPI SPORT) with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sencur Gor. maintains third place with 18-9 record having eight points less than leader Krka. Helios Suns lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 14 games lost.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Novo Mesto. First ranked host Krka (26-1) defeated second-best Ilirija (21-6) 83-68. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Ilirija. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Blaz Mahkovic (201-1990, agency: Interperformances) who led the winners and scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Niko Bacvic accounted for 17 points and 5 assists. Serbian center Boban Marjanovic (224-1988) came up with 13 points for Ilirija in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Krka have an impressive series of fifteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 26-1 record. Ilirija at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost.
The game in Lasko was also quite interesting. 6th ranked Rogaska (10-17) played at the court of eighth ranked Zlatorog (10-17). Zlatorog managed to secure a 4-point victory 80-76 on Monday. The best player for the winners was Nigel Scantlebury who scored 22 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. Zlatorog's coach Domen Drobne used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Ronald Jackson Jr who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Zlatorog moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Hopsi Polzela and Rogaska.

In the last two games of round 27 Sentjur was destroyed by Triglav on the opponent's court 82-58. Hopsi Polzela outscored Terme Olimia in a home game 96-68.

Krka made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Ilirija was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Triglav - Sentjur 82-58

Rather expected game in Kranj where 8th ranked Sentjur (9-18) was crushed by fifth ranked Triglav (12-15) 82-58 on Sunday. Triglav dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Sentjur's 26. Triglav looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Jost Flerin (195-2003) who scored 17 points and 8 assists. Anej Orel (203-2002) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Five Triglav players scored in double figures. Triglav's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Domen Mocnik (188-2002) who recorded 12 points and point guard Nal Belko (183-2004, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 8 points and 5 assists respectively. Triglav maintains fifth place with 12-15 record. Loser Sentjur dropped to the ninth position with 18 games lost.

Hopsi Polzela - Terme Olimia 96-68

Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Hopsi Polzela (10-17) smashed at home bottom-ranked Terme Olimia (6-21) 96-68 on Monday. Hopsi Polzela outrebounded Terme Olimia 40-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American point guard Kameron Hobbs (178-2002, college: Morgan St.) who scored 22 points. Center Ziga Fifolt (210-1993) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Four Hopsi Polzela players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Bosnian forward Simo Atanackovic (207-1990) who recorded 16 points and 5 rebounds and forward Luka Tekavcic (211-2002, college: Coppin St., agency: PEPI SPORT) added 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hopsi Polzela moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Rogaska and Zlatorog. Loser Terme Olimia stay at the bottom position with 21 games lost.

Gal Cop (193-2008) chipped in 20 points. Zlatorog's coach Domen Drobne used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Ronald Jackson Jr (203-1997, college: NC A&T, agency: BIG) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Patrik Tabak (195-2000) added 13 points and 6 assists respectively.
