Capellan's 30-point game gives her LF Challenge Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

23-year old Dominican Rep. Cesarina Capellan (178-SF-2003) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's best team Oses Construccion Ardoi and receives a Hoops Agents LF Challenge Player of the Week award for round 5.
She had the game-high 30 points adding five rebounds and six assists for Ardoi in her team's victory, helping them to crush Leon (#10, 2-3) with 17-point margin 84-67. It allowed Ardoi to take over top position in the Spanish league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Ardoi already had a very good start winning all 5 without losing a single one. Capellan turned to be Ardoi's top player in her first season with the team. Capellan has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (5th best: 15.6ppg).

Second best performed player last round was Nerea Liste (187-C-2003) of Alter Enersun Al-Qazeres Extremadura. She is a center in her 2nd season at Al-Qazeres. In the last game Liste recorded an impressive double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Al-Qazeres lost that game 63-77 to the lower-ranked Adareva (#11, 2-3). This loss caused Al-Qazeres to drop to 5th position in the standings. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Liste is well-known at Al-Qazeres and she already established her position as one of the team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.6ppg (#2). She also registered 11.8 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to center Esperanza Morales (183-C-2002) of Lima-Horta Barcelona (#4). Morales scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. She was a key player of Lima-Horta, leading her team to a 69-63 win against the lower-ranked Logrono (#14, 1-4). Lima-Horta needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 1 lost game. Morales has a great season in Spain. After only 4 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.0rpg (2nd best).
