  Plannja Basket are the Champions!
Plannja Basket Lulea have won the gold of the swedish playoffs, beating Solna in the Final series by 4-1.
The 5th game was played in Pontushallen in Lulea

Yesterday, Carlos Wheeler, Andrew Mitchell (181-G-79, college: Kent St.) and Fred Drains was the main players for Plannja. Solna put up a good fight, they struggled at the late part of the playoffs, but have this season played some really good basketball, but when it got important Plannja was simply the better team. With the exit of Solna in the playoffs, Swedish basketball have now seen the last of both Mattias Sahlstrom and Derrick Tarver. Swedish veteran Sahlstrom retires, while Derrick Tarver immediatley moves to Montepaschi Siena, where it will be really interesting to see how this years MVP of Basketligan will perform. We wish him all luck there, and also thank him and Mattias Sahlstrom for the contribution for Swedish basketball.
