The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Norrkoping (21-8) on the court of fourth ranked BC Lulea on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by BC Lulea 91-85. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Norrkoping. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. BC Lulea made 27-of-30 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Norrkoping helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Gustav Hansson (185-1995) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (was perfect 14-for-14 from the free throw line !!!) and American guard Lamonte Turner (188-1997, college: Tennessee) who added 22 points during the contest. Very important is a home loss of second ranked Jamtland (20-8) against fourth ranked Boras (20-8) on Monday night. Host Jamtland was defeated by Boras in a tough game in Ostersund 93-97. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Jamtland. The winners were led by Canadian point guard Ali Sow (185-1998, college: Laurier, agency: Players Group) who scored that evening 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Justin Vander Baan supported him with 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Even 18 points and 7 rebounds by American forward Michael Christmas (198, college: Longwood, agency: Players Group) did not help to save the game for Jamtland. Boras have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with BC Lulea and Jamtland. Boras will play against league's leader Norrkoping on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Jamtland will play against Koping Stars and hopes to get back on the winning track.
