Melikgazi Kayseri Basketbol (KBSL) agreed terms with experienced 35-year old ex-international forward Gamze Takmaz (180cm-1991) for new 2026-27 season. It is actually her comeback to Kayseri as she has played here before. She played last season at Ormanspor in the KBSL. In 16 games she had 4.7ppg, 2.8rpg and 1.3apg.
She was also a member of the Turkish international program for some years. Takmaz played for Turkish Senior National Team between 2010 and 2018 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2009.
She has spent her entire career in Turkey playing for eight other teams: Botas, Adana ASKI Mersin, Nesibe, Hatay, Elazig Il, Izmit, Antalya and Mersin.
Her team won Turkish Supercup in 2023.
