Chelsea Nelson gets MVP of the Week award for Turkish KBSL

American Chelsea Nelson (188-C/F-1996) had a great game in the last round for Nesibe Aydin Ankara and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 30-year old had a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds, while her team beat Ormanspor (#11, 0-4), the league's bottom-ranked team 72-67. Thanks to this victory Nesibe moved-up to the 5th position in Turkish KBSL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Nesibe will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. In the team's last game Nelson had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. She turned to be Nesibe's top player in her first season with the team. North Carolina State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Nelson is in league's top in points (8th best: 12.0ppg), rebounds (5th best: 5.0rpg) and averages solid 3.3spg and 54.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Belgian center Emma Meesseman (192-C-1993, agency: LBM Management) of Fenerbahce Spor Kulubu Istanbul. Meesseman impressed basketball fans with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Fenerbahce lost that game 69-81 to league's leader Besiktas (#1, 3-0). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Fenerbahce still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. Her team's 3-1 record is not bad at all. Meesseman is well-known by Fenerbahce fans and she already established her position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Morgan Jones (188-G-1999) of Melikgazi Kayseri Basketbol (#9). Jones showcased her all-around game by recording 20 points, 11 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Jones' great performance the Kayseri lost 61-70 to the higher-ranked Botas (#4, 3-1). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. Jones has individually a great season in Turkey. After only 4 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.8ppg (best scorer).
