There were just 6 rounds played in Regular Season of BSL and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
First defeat of league's leader Bahcesehir (5-1) against thirteenth ranked Bordo (2-4) 103-88 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Bahcesehir. Bordo shot 62.1 percent from the field and made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. It was a good game for American guard QJ Peterson (183-1994, college: VMI) who led his team to a victory with 29 points. The other American import point guard Ty Gordon (185-1998, college: Nicholls) contributed with 26 points and 5 assists for the winners. American Tyler Cavanaugh (206-1994, college: GWU) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for Bahcesehir. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bordo moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Tofas and Glint Korfez. Bahcesehir at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Anadolu Efes who have the same record. Bahcesehir will play next round against Denizli trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Bordo will try to continue on its current victory against fourteenth ranked Cayirova in Kocaeli.
Another interesting game for Turk Telekom (5-1) which played in Istanbul against second-best Erokspor (4-2). Third ranked Turk Telekom had an easy win 89-71. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Erokspor. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Serbian swingman Uros Trifunovic (200-2000) scored 32 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Jerrick Harding chipped in 17 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American-Albanian point guard Dallas Moore (185-1994, college: UNF) with 19 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Turk Telekom keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Anadolu Efes and Bahcesehir. Erokspor at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with Trabzonspor and Fenerbahce. Turk Telekom will play against Glint Korfez (#13) in Koaceli in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Even a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) by Chris Horton did not help to save the game for Petkim. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Anadolu Efes keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Turk Telekom and Bahcesehir. Loser Petkimspor keeps the seventh place with three games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams.
