Watkins' double-double lands him TBL Player of the Week award

36-year old American point guard Diante Watkins (175-PG-1990) had a great game in the last round for OGM Ormanspor Genclik Ankara and receives a Hoops Agents TBL Player of the Week award for round 9.
He got a double-double of 34 points and 12 assists, while his team edged out Darussafaka (#14, 3-6) 92-90. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Ormanspor is placed at 9th position in Turkish TBL. Ormanspor is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-4 record. In the last game Buckner recorded an impressive double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Kecioren was edged by the higher-ranked Cedi Osman (#10, 4-5) 76-73. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Kecioren is still at the dead bottom 17th position. 8 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Kecioren managed to get this year. Buckner is a newcomer at Kecioren and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Fred Cleveland Jr. (178-PG-2001) of Final Spor Genclik Bursa (#6). Cleveland Jr. scored 24 points and passed 7 assists. Despite Cleveland Jr.'s great performance the Final Spor lost 82-87 to the higher-ranked Goztepe (#2, 7-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Final Spor needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 5 victories and 4 lost games. Cleveland Jr. has a very solid season. In 9 games in Turkey he scored 15.6ppg.
