Yeni Mamak Spor Klubu (TBL) inked 26-year old 195cm shooting guard Mertcan Solkol for upcoming season. It is actually his comeback to Ankara as he has played here before. Solkol played most recently at Afyon in Turkish BSL league. In 11 games he averaged 5.0ppg and 2.3rpg last season. TBL will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. He also played for Bornova that season where in 14 TBL games he had 6.1ppg and 1.8rpg.
Solkol has played previously for six other teams: Best Balikesir, Konyaspor, Socar Petkim, Pinar Karsiyaka Galisim SK Izmir, Karesi Spor and Balikesir.
He helped his team to make it to the TBL Play-Offs Semifinals in 2021.
